How to get remote access to another computer

The remote access feature lets you access your network computers from your Web console without having to physically go where they are.

How to access other computers remotely

You can do this in two ways:

From where can you access a computer remotely?

You can access a computer remotely from:

The first time that you access the Computers window, a warning will be displayed indicating that your computers don't have any remote access tools installed. If you want to install a remote access tool on them, click the link in the warning.

You can also access a computer remotely from the Computer details window, provided the relevant computer has a remote access tool installed. If so, click the icon belonging to the remote access tool that you want to use.

If a computer has more than one VNC tool installed, you will have to use them in the following order of priority:  1-RealVNC,  2-UltraVNC,  3-TightVNC.

What permissions are required to use the remote access feature?

You will be able to access more or fewer computers depending on whether you have Total Control or Security Administrator permissions.

If you only have Monitoring permissions, you will not be able to access any computers, and the icon in the Remote access column will be grayed out.

Refer to the Types of permissions section for more information.
