Data Control

The upcoming coming into force of the European Union's General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) in 2018 is forcing companies to make substantial changes to the way they process, store, and destroy their customers and providers' personal and confidential data (national ID numbers, email addresses, bank account numbers, etc.).

These changes are the direct consequence of shifting from a "recommendation" (Data Protection Directive) to a "regulation" situation, where a legal framework exists defined by a law and with specific consequences in the case of infringement.

In this new scenario, very strict rules and massive fines have been established for those companies which fail to comply with the new regulation. It is therefore essential for companies to know which computers protected by Adaptive Defense 360 store confidential information, where it is stored, and what actions are taken on it.

In order to ensure compliance with the GDPR regulation, Adaptive Defense 360 provides organizations with the new Data Control protection module, which allows administrators to monitor what personal information is stored on their computers and what actions are taken on it.

If you are interested in purchasing Data Control licenses, please contact your usual provider. Once you have the licenses, all you need to do is enable and configure the Data Control service. You can access the Data Control dashboard from the Advanced Visualization Tool shortcut at the top of the Adaptive Defense 360 console.

For more information, refer to the Configuring Data Control section.
