Antivirus protection settings

1. Select Enable permanent file protection.

2. If you want the protection to scan compressed files, select the relevant checkbox.

3. Select the malicious software to detect.

• As long as the permanent file protection is enabled, the virus detection option will always be enabled.

Next, we advise that you select the option to block malicious actions.

This is very important to protect your network against ransomware, that is, malware designed to prevent access to certain system resources and demand a ransom for restoring it.

For more specialized antivirus settings, click Advanced settings. This will take you to the Advanced antivirus settings - Mail protection window,

1. Indicate whether you want to enable the permanent email protection, and scan compressed files.

2. Select the malicious software to detect by selecting the relevant checkboxes.

Click OK.

This protection is disabled by default. To enable it, follow the steps below:

1. Select the checkboxes to enable the Web browsing protection for Windows workstations and servers.

2. Select the option to detect phishing Web pages if you want to.

The virus detection option is enabled by default.

The Detected threats section in the Status window will include the number of phishing URL detections in the Phishing category, and the number of malware URL detections in the Other category.

These detections are also registered in:

• The detection report.

• Reports.

Phishing URL detections will be included in the Phishing category, whereas malware URL detections will be included in the Other category. Any phishing or malware attacks detected by this protection will be blocked.

The malware and phishing detections reported by the Web browsing protection are not included in the counters generated by the Web access monitor.
