The user will be able to configure the firewall, provided this has been authorized by the administrator, as explained in the section Introduction to firewall configuration.
By configuring the firewall from the user will be able to filter inbound and outbound connections when their computer connects to the Internet, and monitor connections between their computer and other network computers with which they can share files, folders, printers and other resources.
Any time a program tries to connect to the Internet from the user's computer (outbound connections), or there is an attempt from the Internet to connect to their computer (inbound connections), will ask for permission to authorize the connection. It does this through pop-up messages that let you authorize or deny connections and configure other related aspects.
To permanently allow or deny the connection in question, select the relevant option in the pop-up message.
In the case of outbound connections, if Enable automatic assignment of permissions is selected, will not ask to authorize the connection and will do it automatically.
By doing this, as the user assigns permissions and configures the settings, they will gain total control of the connections established to and from their computer.
