Popular devices like USB flash drives, CD/DVD readers, image devices, Bluetooth devices and modems can become an entry point for infections.

The Device Control settings allow you to configure the Device Control protection. Select the device or devices that you want to authorize or block and specify their usage. For more information, refer to the Device Control settings section in the online help:

You can also set up a list of specific devices that will be excluded from Endpoint Protection's Device Control feature.
For example, you can configure Endpoint Protection's Device Control feature to block all USB drives but a specific one. In that case, you must add that specific USB drive to the list of allowed devices. You can repeat this process as many times as you want until you finish configuring your list.

Once you have finished configuring your list of allowed devices, you can export it to a text file. You can also perform the reverse process, that is, create a text file with the devices that you want to allow and import it to the Endpoint Protection Web console.
