Aspects to bear in mind when creating a search job

  1. Searches run once per job.

  2. The search job starts once the computer that must perform the search downloads the search command from the Endpoint Protection server. There is then a time period between the creation and running of a job.

  3. You can start search jobs immediately through the Update option in the right-click menu of the protection installed on the computer that performs the search.

  4. Otherwise, a maximum of 4 hours may pass before the job is run.

  5. You can define several search jobs for the computer that must perform them. In this case, the jobs will take place sequentially, in the established order.

  6. If the computer is restarted during a computer search job, the job will start again 5 minutes after restart. Before this, the computer will query the server to find out if the job is still valid.
